Sales, wonderful sales!

Hi guys! Soooo I have recently discovered something about myself that I never knew before…I LOVE SHOPPING A GOOD SALE! Now, at the risk of sounding like an idiot, snob, or worse, hear me out. I am a recovering retail employee of many years. As such, I never cared about sales because I always shopped with a discount, which was more often than not, better than the promotional prices and discounts being offered by various retailers. Now that those beautiful employee discount days are behind me (bitter sweet, really) it just makes sense that I should be more aware of how much I spend on clothes, accessories, and beauty products, because I promise you, I don’t intend to slow down my rate of shopping.

I discovered just how amazing sale shopping can be and how much product is eventually offered at promotional prices this past holiday season while shopping for…my family, I swear. Like maybe three things for me, tops. Basically, my point is: if you are patient, vigilant, and dedicated to monitoring the pieces you want, you can get everything your little hearts desire, without breaking the bank! So satisfying!

That being said, I’ve been busy doing a little sale shopping of my own lately, and you’re in luck. I’m sharing my top sales picks with you to shop right now. Get out those credit cards ladies and gents, you’ve got some work to do. Oh yeah, and one last thing: sale prices will help you save money, unless you are buying in bulk! Hahah good luck!

xx

  1. Madewell has some of the best sales around and if you are willing to wait to get your items, everything will eventually get marked down. Believe me, it’s worth it. Fill up those shopping carts and keep checking back each week to see if the prices have gone down. It works like a charm. Also, they regularly do additional percentages off the sale prices so make sure you scour their site for some promo codes! What I’m loving from them right now:

The Transport Weekender Bag is the perfect travel bag for a girl on the go, and it literally never gets marked down…like never ever. It’s simple, timeless, chic, and most importantly totally functional. Run, don’t walk to buy this before everyone else does!

sweater

The Rivington Sweater Coat is THE BEST! Ok ok, admittedly, I purchased this sweater at full price because I HAD to have it, and I don’t regret it because I have worn it so much! Speaking of chic, this drapey cardigan is perfect for that cool-girl-minimal look that is so hot right now. Also how cute will you look traveling in this sweater? All you need now is the Weekender bag and some Gucci mules. Voilà!

necktie

This Denim Necktie Shirt is so cute on, it’s actually annoying! I’m obsessed with it because it looks cute with everything! Want to wear it under skinny, black overalls? Please do, it’ll look great! Want to wear it tucked into a lacy pencil skirt? Go ahead, it will look amazing! Want to try and pull off that forever cool denim on denim look and do a boyfriend tuck with this top into a pair of straight leg jeans? Do it, it will be perfection!

2. Aritzia doesn’t really seem like the place I should send you in a post about the glory of sale shopping because their sale prices are notoriously…underwhelming. Or so you thought! If you can muster up a little patience ( I know, there’s that annoying word again) Aritzia goes through multiple rounds of markdowns in their sales, and the prices get downright outstanding!

Le Fou by Wilfred HENRIETTE BLOUSE | Aritzia

The Henriette Blouse by Le Fou is such a stunning piece and it was originally pretty pricey since it is part of the luxe capsule collection that Aritzia puts out once a season. Now that it’s on sale, it’s time to pull the trigger! I personally looovvveee this vibrant red, but it comes in multiple colors, some of which are neutral.  I mean, how often can you buy lovely silk blouses for $74.99?  Almost never, that’s how often! Go get it quick!

scarf

The Wilfred Rainbow Bord Blanket scarf is so cute, cozy, and easy to wear! It comes in a cream and a navy, both of which have a rainbow stripe border at the edges that adds a fun, yet subtle pop of color to any outfit! I honestly can’t say enough great things about Aritzia’s scarves, but I know they can get a little pricey. Soooo when they go on sale for 50% off, you buy them and you buy them in every single color!

I hope you lovelies enjoy this post and I hope you visit these sites and do some serious shopping! Cheers!

New Year, New Me…kinda

Hi everyone, happy 2017! It’s officially been over a year since I posted new content which means I am the worst! The good news? I’m back and committed to having a little more discipline when it comes to sharing with y’all. Let’s just say it was a resolution of mine…

Another resolution I made for this year was to really focus and invest on my skincare routine and the products I use. Let’s face it, we aren’t getting any younger and there is no time like the present to step up your skincare game. Now that I’m 100% a grown up adult, I have to start taking my skincare routine more seriously…which means I have to take my makeup off after bed! While this could seem an unbearable task on those nights when you’re so tired you can barely make it to bed, nothing feels better than hitting your pillow with a clean face lathered in serums and creams. Not to mention, who doesn’t love shopping for skincare products? Hello Sephora!

To get you excited about this new habit for 2017, I’ve included below some of my favorite products in heavy rotation right now! Enjoy and get ready for a brighter, healthier, and more youthful face in 2017!

Sunday Riley is probably my favorite skincare line out right now. Their packaging is clean, simple, and brand propelling. The results you see after using their products are even better. This ceramic slip cleanser is the latest addition to my routine and my complexion is brighter and softer already!

Sunday Riley Good Jeans is my absolute fave-cannot-live-without-always-have-a-backup-on-hand product of all time. Applying this lactic acid treatment in the morning and the evening is seriously one of my favorite steps in the getting ready process. Some of the results you can expect after using this product are: line reducing, brightening, clarifying, exfoliating, and plumping. In other words, you need it!

Ok I know, I know, enough with the Sunday Riley! Just one more! Their Luna Sleeping Night Oil is a highlight of my evening routine. This anti-aging retinoid night oil helps to reduce the signs of aging by improving your skin’s plumpness and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Yes, it’s as wonderful as it sounds!

This Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist 24 is an outstanding anti-aging eye cream that feels as lovely as it smells. The price is very reasonable given it’s richness and how long it lasts, not to mention compared to its competitors’ prices. This cream claims to eliminate the signs of aging by reducing fine lines and improving upon the skin’s firmness. You won’t be disappointed!

Ok now it’s time for me to go get ready for bed and slather these all over my face, and thanks to these products, I’m actually looking forward to it!

My Ultimate Wishlist

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and that means wish lists galore! Since I always have my eye on something pretty all year long, making a holiday gift list is a piece of cake, but it is definitely more fun during the holiday season!! Today I am sharing my ultimate wish list for this holiday season featuring the pieces I would absolutely love to find under my tree! Enjoy and happy holidays!

Fall Faves!

After a little too long of a posting hiatus, I am back with some of my favorite pieces for Fall! Now don’t get me wrong, I am going to miss my sandals and bathing suits dearly, however I am super excited for layers, boots, and the rich colors of Autumn. Here are a couple items I am excited to add…

Living Room Reboot

One of my fave things to do is rearrange and redecorate the living space that I share with my boyfriend in SF. Recently I decided that our main living space was not making a clear statement nor reflecting the vision we had for our decor: beachy luxe with a lot of texture. The next day, I hit the ground running…

Flea Market Outing

Flea Market Outing by bezbrown  Recently a friend told me about the Alameda Flea Market and all the amazing treasures you can find there. So obviously I am obsessed and have to go. I am envisioning wearing something like this for the trip!

Summer Time Faves so Far

Summer Time Faves so Far by bezbrown  Well, it’s July 29th and Summer is just about to begin here in the Bay Area. I am really looking forward spending hots days by the pool with friends and warm-ish days at a sunny beach (it is Nor-Cal after all). Luckily I was able to spend a week in a scorching hot San…
